General Information
This large celebration, held yearly in February during the Chinese New Year, brings together
all the major Chinese Organizations in Knoxville and surrounding areas for an afternoon of
song, dance, martial arts, and other performances to celebrate Chinese Culture
and the coming of Spring !

Directions
1. Take I-40 Exit 387 (17th Street).
2. Turn right at a traffic light on the 17th street.
3. Go through a couple of traffic light and turn left at a traffic light onto Cumberland Ave.
4. Drive through the 1st traffic light and Turn Right on Phillip Fulmer Way (STADIUM DR).
5. You may park in the parking garage attached to the University Center on your right or park in the
big parking lot on your right just past the University Center. Parking is also available at
the 11th Street Garage.
6. Walk up the hill on the MIDDLE DR/MIDDLE WAY and the Alumni Memorial Bldg. is on your right.

Cox Auditorium has 900 seats and the East Tennessee Chinese New Year Festival sells out every year.

Program
For the 2012 East Tennessee Chinese New Years Festival, we will have two very special guests.
Traditional Chinese instruments [erhu, guzheng, pipa ...] will be performed by
Spring Yang and her students from the
Spring Music School in Atlanta.
Also, professional dancer Chen Wei from New York City will perform
graceful traditional Chinese dances for us.
Our show will also feature members of the Knoxville Chinese community performing
traditional Chinese folk dancing, singing, Chinese martial arts, and more.
A detailed Festival program will be listed here as soon as it is finalized.
